Advanced Sewing Line Efficiency Calculator
Explanation of Formula
What Is Efficiency?
Efficiency in the garment industry is a measure of productivity that compares actual output to expected or standard output.
- QC Pass: This refers to the number of units that have passed Quality Control. It represents the quantity of garments that meet the required quality standards produced by a sewing line.
- SMV (Standard Minute Value): This is the standard time allowed for an operation to be completed by an average skilled operator. In your formula, it’s referred to as Garments SMV (Minutes).
- Manpower: This is the number of workers involved in the sewing line.
- Working Hours: The total number of hours worked during the sewing line.
- NPT (Non-Productive Time): This is the time during which production is not occurring, such as breaks, machine downtime, or other interruptions. It’s an optional input in your calculator.
