What is Garments Operator Capacity?
Garments Operator Capacity refers to the production capability of a worker or group of workers in the garment manufacturing industry. It’s a measure of how many garment pieces or operations an operator can complete within a given time frame, usually per hour or per day.
- Process SMV (Standard Minute Value): Process SMV is the standard time allocated to complete a specific operation or process in garment manufacturing. It’s measured in minutes and represents the time a skilled operator should take to perform a task under normal working conditions.
- Average Cycle Time: Average Cycle Time is the average time it takes to complete one unit of production from start to finish. In garment manufacturing, this could be the average time to produce one complete garment. It includes all operations involved in making the garment.
- Machine Allowance: Machine Allowance refers to the additional time factored into production calculations to account for machine-related issues such as maintenance, breakdowns, or adjustments.
- Target Efficiency: Target Efficiency is the desired level of productivity set for operators or production lines.
